We are a diverse bunch. There is no judgment, only fabulous conversations and growing friendships from our girlfriend getaway weekends, events and activities, and, of course, our travel schedule for our well-known — women-only trips!
In May 2019, a few friends and I decided to broaden the day trips we had been doing over the previous six years and travel. We were a blend of ages from 45 to some amazing golden girls — many without friends or spouses/partners who wanted to travel.
After a few great trips, in walks Covid, and shortly afterwards, our Facebook page exploded like wildfire with hundreds of like-minded women wanting to join our circle and participate in our warm, and truly supportive women’s community during Covid. By May 2021, many in our group were so unhappy and discouraged, I decided we needed to do something! I “branded” my kid’s little red wagon, filled it with a cooler of summer drinks, and a bucket of flowers, had balloons blowing off the back end, and invited everyone locally to be brave and come have a “meet in the park” at the lake.
Fast forward to today, we are represented all across the country with ladies in Ontario, British Columbia to Nova Scotia! We also have women from the United States and the United Kingdom who join our travels.
Being part of the Sisterhood means you are part of a group of kindred spirits. Besides exploring the world with the Red Orchid Ladies on unforgettable journeys, we also have monthly luncheons and weekend getaways! Join our tribe and let’s make memories together!
I loved many things on our ladies’ trip! Great food on the ship, amazing excursions and the professionalism of Melanie and Renee in guiding the group and catering to our individual needs. I thoroughly enjoyed travelling to Greece with Renee and Melanie. Every day was filled with adventure, and I looked forward to each day with excitement. The Star Flyer was an exceptional ship, and the meals were phenomenal.

My first trip with Red Orchid Travel. It was a great time! All the details were looked after by Renee and her team. Had a fun group of women to travel with and share stories and some activities. The weather, food, resort and drinks were great!
It was a no-pressure vacation — we were all able to do our own things and meet up as desired for various outings and a la carte every evening. Was nice to have our own bus to and from the airport and especially helpful to have Renee on site to help those of us technologically challenged do what we had to do to get pre-check-in and seats booked.
