Alaska Inside Passage

This roundtrip 7-day cruise on the Princess Emerald out of Vancouver will have you sailing into Juneau, Skagway, the scenic cruise of the Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier, and Ketchikan.

What to expect

Our adventure begins in Vancouver, Canada’s third-largest city, that boasts a rich cultural tapestry, world-class parks, and a distinctly European feel. We will spend a day at sea before arriving in Juneau, Alaska, that is not only famous for gold but breathtaking glaciers and stunning views. We then arrive in Skagway, the gateway to the gold fields for thousands who flocked to Alaska and the Yukon with hopes of striking it rich. We will spend a day cruising through the narrow fjords, part of the Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wildness area, and you will be treated to views of snowcapped mountains and blue-tinged glaciers. Then we will stop in Ketchikan, where you will be intrigued by its rich Native heritage.

Highlights

The Mendenhall Glacier is 13 miles long, a half-mile wide and from 300 to 1,800 feet deep. Stretching from the Juneau Icefield to Mendenhall Lake, it has been slowly retreating since the mid 1700s.

Mendenhall Glacier

Relive the colour and history of the Yukon Gold Rush. Tour the camps, pan for gold or meet a few costumed characters who'll show you what life was like during the boom-town days in the 1800s.

Relive the colour and history of the Yukon Gold Rush

Protected within the Tongass National Forest, Endicott Arm is a haven for wildlife, such as black and brown bears, deer, wolves, harbour seals, mountain goats and a variety of seabirds have been spotted in the area.

As you glide through the fjords, look out for the variety of wildlife: bears, wolves, and habour seals

Totem Bight State Park is home to 14 totem poles, each telling its own story
